before i go on talking bout my day, i just wanna highlight the title of this post. sounds familar? :)
anyway, thankgod prelims are almost over. left with pure lit, e math and chinese. just cant wait for the bloody exams to be over. once it's over, on that very day, i'll be heading to the sunny island penang! yes people, im gonna spend the 1week hols in sunny penang in a beach resort. haha.
anyway, today i got dragged out of bed, literally and went to have breakfast with my mama. after that, we walk around town before i head home to drum my day away. very boring actually. didnt do anything much. at least i bought something! haha.
night folks, gonna go out later tonight to cedar there. hehehe...

first before i go on talking bout my mundane day, just wanna intro a great singer for you. (wanna skip this whole chunk then just scrooooollll)
am listening to Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, not the one by Green Day we all know and love. this is the original one. the first person to sing this song way back. The Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, released in 1950, was sung by Tony Bennett. here's a short bio of him courtesy of wikipedia.org :

today i woke up extra early... when i have no school and went to east coast park to have breakfast with my godsis and my mom at coffee bean. we crapped and stuff all the way till noon where my mom headed to town to shop. i tag along and walk around. she ended up buying alot of stuff. and me? nothing... well.. came home around 5pm and started drumming and drumming and drumming and chatting on msn with THE GREAT ALMIGHTY QIAN and my new DAUGHTER!!! im now a father! hahaha, anyway, chatted and crapped and joked and i started packing my room. now my room looks totally different. haha.

comes with the 14" Stage Hats, 16" Stage Crash & 20" Stage Ride.
oh well, gotta start saving up around $800 man.

this is my bed, which i was sleeping on from 3am this morning till 5pm this evening. on the bed is my beloved, which i spent the next 10mins checking my mail and stuff...
i played drums for slightly almost an hour. yes, it looks small. all the other cymbals and parts are currently in my room at the hostel. played a couple of songs...
studied social studies and blogged. :)

HEYA FOLKS... it's been a long long time.
today just had my english prelim papers. not too easy nor hard i would say. at the same time, got caught by the DM for my "long" hair. my mom also pondered, it isn't that long...
anyway, it's been a long time since i've blogged, wanna share some photo featuring my friends from the July Music Fest held in the hostel exactly a week ago. my band performed there too. but it was a diasaster...

FRIDAY, 29/07
preparations started in the afternoon with Rio, the chief designer who decorated the stage and stuff. the performance started at 7:30pm with my band, Roll Call opening the show with 3 songs:

after which it was a duet by some china dudes... they sang some chinese songs... filled with emotion and gusto. haha. after that, it was a group of malaysians, i think. they did some acoustic pieces. they sang killing me softly and another song. can't remember the name. but after that, it was the Jackson 2. made up of 2 Michael Jackson fans, they danced to the blistering beat of the song and did the moon walk and stuff.
after that, it was a medley of both english and indonesians songs by the indo gals which comprises of 10 indonesian girls. something like a choir piece. The Champagnes were suppose to do their songs next, but they backed out last minute which really pissed off Ms K. they're the winners of the AJC idol earlier this year... heard their rehearsal and they're really good. anyway, so it was us again... we did the last few songs:

during the last few songs, my drum set started falling apart... literally. damn irritating la. the drums nearly feel off the platform. but nevertheless, it was a great show. sadly, not as good as the initial one.
so after the gig, we went out to town for celebration... had "dinner" and ice cream before we walked all the way back from Orchard to the hostel. had a long, nice chat with Job.
hmmmm... other than that i don't think anything significant happened...
